Reeth itself lies at the foot of Mount Calva at the junction of Swaledale and Arkengarthdale. It was listed in the Domesday book as 'Rie' and was famous as a market town in the 17th and 18th centuries.
Today, an abundance of craft workshops, tearooms and shops border the expansive village green. An ideal base for walking.
