| 4th March 2011 - 7th March 2011 | Sheffield, Leeds, Liverpool | Another great family reunion in beautiful swaledale. On arrival at the cottage it was nice to see the fire laid ready for lighting. Everyone arrived just in time for the cip van. Fantastic fish and chips as usual. Weather been brilliant and enjoyed horse riding at ArtileMoor riding centre. The ponies were great and the centre is very well run. Had some lovely walks and managed the walk to the pub nex door. Recommend the butchers at Leyburn, fantastic steak, and also the Black Bull - the service was very good there. Look forward to our next visit! :) | |

The house is very well equipped and the real fire was lovely and cosy. Recommend Kings Arms (very hospitable) and the fish and chip van that visits Reeth on Fridays (4:30 - 6:00-ish). Swaledale as usual was outstanding but the snow on the tops was the icing on the cake. Superb walks around Reeth, down by the river and up on Frenington edge. Hope to return. | |

Having cleaned coal dust from washing machine, it would only wash and drain, so all clothes needed to be hand wrung. Could do with a washing basket or a bowl. Also needed to clear left over jars etc. from work top and shelfs so we could put our food somewhere. Page of contact numbers had none. Could not see a notice board on which to pin our comments so hope this will be the next best way. | |
